10.5 weeks: Miranda wore her party dress today (thank-you Denise - it’s beautiful!) and after walking Wellington around the fire trail we headed off to see Belinda Tuckey in Manly

Miranda and I arrived a little bit early and so had a lovely stroll along the beach (the sea wind whipped around us so Miranda was wrapped up warm with the pram wind protector and 2 blankets - can you actually see her in the photo?!) We then went to see Belinda, her Grandson (George 5.5 months, totally gorgeous with long eyelashes and a very smiley face!) and her daughter-in-law (Alex) .

We had a lovely time catching up with everyone and Belinda cooked up a “gourmet-storm” for lunch.  A huge “thank-you” to Belinda for Miranda’s lamaze horse - she loves it!.

Arriving back home all Miranda wanted to do was continue the party.  So we kept the dress on and played under the gym again (check out those matching knickers!).

9-weeks-fathers-day-paul-with-tobleroneIt is Paul’s first Father’s Day and Miranda surprised him with “The Best Dad” toblerone, a wiggles DVD for a playdate together and a card that she made (it took her one gooey foot and all day to make the perfect one for Daddy - with a little help from Mummy!!!).

It was just a normal start to the day - Daddy Mac reading the morning 3D newspaper after breakfast.  After some milk, I played with my teddy and then we went to mother’s group, it was heaps of fun - I played and kicked about on the mat and Mummy Mac chatted with lots of other Mums. But golly gosh - it was tiring work!  I fell asleep in the bassinet while Mummy had lunch.  (See how relaxed I am?!) After a quick trip to the doctors we came home and I tried out my new dummy … and loved it !!!  THE END.

Walking with Welly

Monday, September 1st, 2008

We went for a “McCormack Sunday walk” on the local fire trail just at the top of our road (it’s on the edge of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and it’s where the fireman gain access for bush fires  … dogs allowed!).  Miranda couldn’t stop herself smiling at all the dancing light through the trees and Wellington tried to convince us the ball kept going in the puddles (yeah right Welly!).  After an hour of chatting (and throwing the ball for a soggy dog) we all arrived home and sat on our porch to catch our breath back !!!
